Financial Innovation Forum Terms and Conditions

IFX Payments // Financial Innovation Forum Competition – Terms and Conditions

September 2024

  1. IFX (UK) Ltd, trading as IFX Payments (the Promoter), is running a competition at the Financial Innovation Forum event, held at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane in Mayfair on 19 September 2024 (the Competition).
  1. The Winner (as defined in paragraph 7) of the Competition will receive one pair of Apple AirPods Pro (2ndgeneration) with MagSafe Case (USB-C). Apple is not a participant in or sponsor of this Competition.
  1. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award a prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  1. The Competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over (the Eligible Participants), except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with the administration of the Competition. Only one entry per person is permitted.
  1. The Competition will open at 08:00 BST on 19 September 2024 and close at 15:00 BST on 19 September 2024 (the Competition Period). Participants who enter the Competition after the Competition Period will not be eligible for a prize.
  1. Eligible Participants can enter the Competition by filling out the entry form and guessing the number of chocolate coins in the jar displayed at the Promoter’s stand at the Financial Innovation Forum event (the Game). The entry form can be accessed via a QR code at the Promoter's stand and the Eligible Participant will be able to include their chocolate coin guess at the end of the form.
  1. To be eligible for the prize, you must: (a) be an Eligible Participant, (b) fill out and submit the entry form and (c) complete the Game by guessing the number of chocolate coins in the jar displayed at the Promoter’s stand and noting this in the submitted entry form, within the Competition Period. The winner will be the Eligible Participant whose guess is closest to the actual number of chocolate coins (the Winner). In the event of a tie, where two Eligible Participants guess the same number, the Winner will be the one who submitted their entry first.
  1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries not submitted due to: (a) a technical fault, (b) failure to submit the entry form and complete the Game before the end of the Competition Period, (c) incorrect contact details being provided, (d) technical malfunction, (e) computer hardware or software failure, or (f) satellite, network or server failure of any kind. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries which are not completed for any reason.
  1. The Promoter will keep a record of all entries via the form and will notify the Winner on or around 16:00 BST on 19 September 2024 using the contact details it has available for the purpose of accepting their entry. The Winner will be invited to collect the prize at the Promoter’s stand by 17:15 BST on 19 September 2024. If the Winner is unable to collect the prize, the Promoter will request a postal address via email or SMS. Failure to respond to the Promoter within seven working days of notification will result in the forfeiture of the prize, and the Promoter reserves the right to select the Eligible Participant with the next closest guess to the actual number of chocolate coins as the new Winner.
  1. If required to be sent by post, the prize will be posted to the Winner within seven working days of confirmation of their postal address. The Promoter will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner for any issues arising during transit, including but not limited to instances of the prize being lost, damaged, or broken.
  1. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  1. The prize is supplied by the Promoter or its affiliates. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with any alternative prize of equal value.
  1. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  1. The Promoter reserves the right to void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Competition without notice to the participants.
  1. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents, distributors or employees will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate a participant or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of participating in the Competition. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  1. Personal data supplied during the course of the Competition will only be processed as set out in the Promoter's Privacy Policy available here: https://www.ifxpayments.com/data-privacy/.
  1. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and company name of the Winner to anyone who emails info@ifxpayments.comwithin one month after the closing date stated in paragraph 5. If you object to your surname or company name being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at regulatory@ifxpayments.com. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  1. These terms and conditions are governed by English law. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
